2013 was a great year for a number of EDM acts, but outside of Martin Garrix and Zedd, we'd say hands-down that Avicii's mainstream explosion during the second half of 2013 was the biggest. The first single from TRUE, "Wake Me Up," is not only one of the best selling singles in UK history, but murdered a number of Billboard charts this year. Recently, Shazam posted the "top Shazamed songs" of 2013, and their deal with Beatport to better-identify EDM from earlier this year seems to have helped Avicii, who not only topped the most-Shazamed EDM songs list (worldwide), but was the 2nd most-Shazamed song of 2013 (worldwide), as well as placing fourth as most-Shazamed song in the United States.
The Top Shazamed EDM songs of 2013 worldwide isn't too suprising; Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" was at #2, and music from Zedd, Swedish House Mafia, Krewella, and Garrix all hit the top 10. Check out a few of the lists down below.
