Saint Motel recently released their single "Ace in the Hole," an adventurous tune about love that blends rock and pop sensibilities with a melodic climax that features a full horn section near the end. It's upbeat and intense, marking a sonic tone that displays the Los Angeles quartet's growth since the release of their debut album Voyeur. They're currently at work on their second full-length project, but before that comes out next year the group drops a remix to "Ace in the Hole." It's produced by Chicago duo Bestfriends, who take the original melody and flip it into a groovy soundscape. This record is best listened to when the lights are dimmed. Whatever happens after that is entirely up to you. The original version of "Ace in the Hole" as well as Saint Motel's other single "My Type" can be pre-ordered on 7-inch vinyl here
