Vic Mensa's INNANETAPE has been out for a month, and it has continued to make noise as one of the best projects of 2013. In a Closed Sessions documentary that came together as the project was being created, Vic's relationship with co-executive producers Peter Cottontale and Cam Osteen (of the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League) is shown in detail. The three collaborated together on a good deal of the mixtape's soundscape, each person feeding off the energy of the other two.

Cam talks about getting Vic outside of his comfort zone during the recording of the project, especially on songs like "Magic" and "Orange Soda." Apparently, Vic's singing on "Magic" was the first time he had ever sang on record before. Simultaneously, Vic challenged Cam to step out of his own comfort zone. The result is a project that was sequenced perfectly and sounds cohesive.
