Over the last few years Travi$ Scott has gone from a relatively obscure artist to one of hip-hop's most in demand producers. In 2013 alone he worked on Kanye West's Yeezus, Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail, as well as his impressive debut EP Owl Pharoah

In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid, the 21-year-old talked about his work with rap's biggest acts. "On the Yeezus album, I know he had joints on there like 'Guilt Trip,' I know that was an old joint. I heard that joint for the first time in Hawaii," he says. "S1 did the original drums but then those new drums in there I redid those."

He also spoke on "Crown," his collaboration with Jay Z that many consider one of the best on Magna Carta. "Jay Z let me rap on his album," Travi$ says. "He let me say 'shit on me,' like that's what I've been wanting to say forever." Travi$ goes on to reveal that "Crown" was recorded a week or so before Magna Carta actually came out.

Travi$ also shared a hilarious story of when he first met Kendrick Lamar. "I met Kendrick backstage at the VMAs," he says. "I feel like when he walked up to me, he was like, 'Yo, what's good lil nigga.' I was like, this nigga 'bout to fucking rap me out. This nigga 'bout to out rap me right here!"
