Earlier today, James Blake posted “Come Thru Version” on his Facebook wall, and now we get this. It’s not a single or an official remix, just something Blake has decided to offer up as a free download.
While the original is smooth and restrained, Blake’s take on Drake‘s “Come Thru,” off Nothing Was The Same, is more complicated. It starts off tame, but as soon as Drake’s rapping kicks in, the production takes an urgent tone with alarming synths giving the song a slightly ominous feel.
