When I say ACID, do you think of LSD or the 303? If your mind immediately wanders off to manipulating a Roland TB-303 to create that signature ACID sound, then David Heartbreak just became your best friend. If you instantly thought of LSD no worries, you’ll probably enjoy this as well...

David gathered all of his heavy-hitting, immensely talented friends to create a 16-track compilation with acid on the mind and released this compilation for free on OWSLA’s Nest HQ. Hearing how these talented musicians incorporated that distinct acid sound across various genres and with differing sounds is simply profound, from acid house, acid funk, acid twerk, and even acid moombahton, there is a little something for everyone. All of these songs are from artists that, much like Heartbreak himself, are well on their way to establishing solidified careers on their own; some of these artists include Alexandre, Nicademass, Chooky, Cafe Con Leche, Jon Kwest, Ivarr, Sluggers, Cy Kosis, Durante, J-Kray, Rex Riot, Vass, Savagez & Vicente, NO3GO, Oddzilla, XNDR, as well as a track that David Heartbreak created himself along with Katnip Traxx titled “Respect My Error.” If you don’t know these artists, get to know them, Heartbreak picked these artists knowing that together they could create an impactful compilation. The mission was to push the boundaries and the envelope for what defines acid music and all of these artists accomplished that quite effortlessly.
