Ever since linking in 2011, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib have forged a rap connection between Gary, Indiana and Oxnard, California that simply can't be replicated.
Their latest record "Deeper" is a perfect example of why their two distinct styles compliment each other. Over Madlib's eerie production, Gibbs comes through with his growl of a delivery and three hard body verses to motivate the streets. "Deeper" comes on their new EP by the same name, which also features the song "Harold" as well as a handful of instrumentals.
Freddie Gibbs and Madlib will be releasing their first full-length album Piñata on February 4 of next year. Guests for that much anticipated project include Danny Brown, Joey Bada$$, Mac Miller and more.
