As if this week wasn't crazy enough for Gucci Mane, TMZ is reporting that the rapper has been arrested early this morning. Apparently, Gucci was hanging out with a friend late last night, but was behaving "erratically." This friend then decided to call the police to help him out. When they arrived, Gucci began cursing and threatening them. Authorities then took Gucci into custody at 12:05AM, and upon searching him, they found marijuana and a handgun on his person. Gucci has been booked on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana, and disorderly conduct. He was reportedly hospitalized following the arrest, and is believed to still be in the hospital.
This caps off a bizarre week for Gucci, who went on a Twitter rampage for several days, calling out members of his Brick Squad label and former collaborators such as Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Rick Ross. Following the bizarre flurry of tweets, Gucci announced that he was releasing a new project, Diary Of A Trap God, for sale on iTunes. However, he eventually decided to put the project out for free. After releasing the project, Gucci deleted his Twitter, and was then captured on video nearly getting into a fight at the Lenox Mall in Atlanta.
This is the third time Gucci has been arrested in 2013. Back in March, he turned himself into custody after being accused of striking a veteran over the head with a bottle. Several weeks later, he was re-arrested for allegedly violating parole.
