It looks like Lil Wayne has recruited Chance The Rapper for his upcoming mixtape, Dedication 5. DJ Drama, the host of the famed mixtape series, just tweeted at Chance, saying that he "did his thing" on the track that he makes an appearance on. Shortly after that, Drama unveiled the project's tracklisting. Outside of Chance, guest appearances will be coming from The Weeknd, T.I., and 2 Chainz. As rumors have suggested, the project is set to be 29 songs long.

How did Wayne and Chance get connected? It looks like Mac Miller might be responsible. Despite not appearing on the tracklist for Dedication 5, Wayne shouted him out on Twitter earlier tonight. Mac had just went on tour with Chance earlier this summer. Meanwhile, a notable omission on the project's tracklisting is Drake, although this is likely because Drake is hard at work on Nothing Was The Same.

For Chance, an appearance on a legendary mixtape series with arguably one of the biggest rappers in the game is a significant cosign, especially for an artist who still does not have a major label deal. Sure, he was just performing in Europe with Eminem and Kendrick Lamar a couple of weeks ago, but this is his first opportunity to go toe-to-toe with a major artist as a guest. This will be the second Chance appearance on a DJ Drama-hosted mixtape in less than a month, after dropping in on Rapsody's She Got Game.

As of now, Dedication 5 is set to be released at 3AM on the East Coast. Hopefully that turns out to be the actual release time, because the anticipation has reached intense proportions. After initially slated to be released at 5PM on Friday, Wayne ended up sending the song files to Drama early Saturday morning. Drama has spent most of Saturday mixing and organizing the project.

Shout out my nig Mac Miller!
