If Chance The Rapper's name isn't on the tip of every rap fan's tongue yet, he's certainly on the verge of doing just that. Along with gracing Complex's latest cover, the 20-year-old star from Chicago was recently nominated for "Best Mixtape" at this year's BET Hip-Hop Awards, which will air October 15.

In an interview with R&R Productions, Chance talked about the moment he found out about the nomination. "I was in motherfucking Paris, France. I just played Stade de France for 90,000 people," he says. "We saw a couple of tweets and a couple of posts about it, but we couldn't find a link to where the actual nominees were listed." Chance goes on to say it was an unexpected surprise. Watch the full clip above.
