Ariana Grande has shown her love and appreciation for hip-hop while maintaining her pristine pop princess image. Her first single, "The Way," samples Big Pun's "Still Not a Player" and has a guest appearance from Mac Miller. She has rapped the verses of Big Sean's "Guap" on radio before, and also had Sean make an appearance on her debut album, Yours Truly, which just dropped on Tuesday.

Several nights ago, as a guest on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Ariana performed Broadway-style renditions of rap songs. With Jimmy accompanying her on the keys, Grande belted out the refrain of Jay Z's "99 Problems,"Cypress Hill's "Insane In the Brain," and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis'"Thrift Shop." In doing so, Ariana was able to showcase her powerful voice while doing something a bit different. She also got to curse on national television (although the curse word is actually edited out in the broadcast).

What is most noteworthy about this segment, and about most of Ariana's television performances, is that the young singer seems to be thoroughly enjoying herself. She always has a smile on her face and plays along with any situation.
