Last night's OVO Fest in Toronto will go down in hip-hop history as one of the greatest live shows ever. Drake brought out everybodyWale and James Blake opened the show, and French Montana, Big Sean, A$AP Rocky, Miguel, J. Cole, The Weeknd, TLC, Diddy, Ma$e, Lil Wayne and Kanye West all performed.

Yeezus' performance was definitely one of the most unexpected events during the show last night, which took place at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. Before he came out on stage to perform "New Slaves" and other hit songs, Drake introduced him with a quick freestyle:

"Niggas keep sayin’ I should give the chain back/That’ll be the same day I give the game back/You know the next question, dog, 'Yo, where Wayne at?'/Nigga we both busy, I ain’t gotta explain that/What up with you and ‘Ye, man? Are y’all ok, man?"

Drake spoke with RevoltTV about Kanye's performance. In his short candid interview, he explains why Ye joined him on stage and what the experience was like for him. You can watch in the video above, and read his comments below:

"In rap sometimes we don’t communicate enough. It’s extremely competitive so me and Kanye hadn’t even talked before we got on stage together. We didn’t rehearse or anything like that. I didn’t even see him before. That was my first time seeing him when I got onstage."

"His words—that was like a moment [when] I clicked out. I was like, “I don’t know if this is real or not. I’m not sure if I’m still sleeping from the morning.” This is like I’m dreaming about how this is working out. [It’s] probably the most important moment in my life to date because, at the end of the day, I do look up to ‘Ye. He’s a major influence, if not the biggest influence in my career. To hear him say that and just to feel like, “Alright, who knows where this goes. Maybe we do music now like we was supposed to. Or maybe we just start talking more.”

"It’s a good thing, man. I came out and said what I said and I meant it. I meant every word. He’s been a mentor to me even if we didn’t talk like how me and Puff talk or how me and and Wayne talk. Kanye’s just mentored me through his decisions. I study the game overall, but I study him very closely. Obviously. I’m 26, man. I still feel like you mention names like Jay, Wayne, and Kanye—those guys are gods to me. It’s just crazy to be on that stage with [Kanye] and share that moment. We got to stand there together. We had the pose going on and everything. It was crazy. What I loved about it was it was organic."

It was an incredible performance that Drake finished off with the "official Canadian anthem" which is, "Started From The Bottom." If you weren't at OVO Fest last night, we've got you covered. Here's Everything You Missed at Last Night's OVO Fest.
