Miley Cyrus has dropped a new song called "Wrecking Ball" tonight. This song seems to be a very personal one for the young singer, as she addresses love and heart break in a very passionate manner. "I never meant to start a war/I just wanted you to let me in/I guess I should have let you in," Miley says. She belts the song's chorus in an aggressive, slightly gruff manner. Meanwhile the beat, produced by Dr. Luke, predominantly features a piano, enhancing the song's somber mood.

"Wrecking Ball" is the next single off Miley's forthcoming album, Bangerz. The song is a drastic departure from the happy-go-lucky content on Miley's previous single, "We Can't Stop." The release of "Wrecking Ball" comes just several hours after Miley put out the artwork for the album, slated for an October 8 release.

Now, all eyes turn to Miley as she gets ready to perform tomorrow at the MTV Video Music Awards. It is expected that the singer will perform "We Can't Stop," but will she also be performing this new song for a television audience? What else does she have up her sleeve to entertain the crowd? Sunday's award show will certainly be intriguing, and Miley will be a big part of that.
