Future Classic Signs Wave Racer

Future Classic is most definitely one of my favorite labels/collectives/MGMT teams/brands in all of dance music right now. Between Flume, Hayden James, Flight Facilities, and the rest of their lineup, there's really nothing I don't like coming out of that camp. From artist development to the releases, Future Classic has an enviable brand that any artist would die to have. This week Future Classic added another horse to their stable with the signing of Wave Racer.

Truth be told, Wave Racer has been on my radar since he appeared on Stoney Roads back in July. The producer explained that he had "started to make music as Wave Racer just because I was interested in playing around with other types of sounds and production" and that he "became more interested in synths and sound design and I wanted to make tunes that reflected that."

Wave Racer added that his music has been heavily inspired by the likes of Rustie, Sinjin Hawke, and Cashmere Cat, and listening to it that's clear.  Wave Racer gracefully balances the sounds of his inspiration with his own ideas to make something wholly unique. To celebrate the signing, Future Classic has wasted no time and has released a two-track EP with the tracks "Stoopid" and "Rock U Tonite." Treat yourself this Friday and grab this release, you won't stop listening.
