Fabolous was one of the first responders on Twitter to Kendrick Lamar's verse on "Control." However, the Brooklynite has yet to put out a lyrical response since making his inquiry about free studios, much to the amusement of the online community. At Rucker Park several nights ago, Fabolous was asked by the Source about whether or not he would be offering a response. Fab kept his answer somewhat ambiguous, but he did explain why he ended up not putting out anything immediately after his initial tweets seemed to suggest that there was something in the works.

That’s a hot topic on the market, and when I first heard I was gong to address it on the surface of what it was, somebody from out of New York claiming they the “King of New York,” but I took my time and I spoke with some OG’s, I researched it a little bit and got some more history behind it.

Fabolous went on to point out that he observed that none of the people whom Kendrick directly called out have thus far responded back to the song. As for whether or not he might put out a formal response down the line, Fab said:

One thing that an OG told me, he said “if you do respond, make it work for you, make it come on your time, and not just like you trying to feed the twitter fans with a freestyle.” So I got that in the back of mind, so you might hear something eventually…

In the same interview, Fabolous talked about his long-waited Loso's Way 2. The album at this point is almost complete, with Fab about to get in the studio with Ryan Leslie and Pharrell in the immediate future.
