After OVO Fest on Monday night, MTV News sat down with Drake over a glass of red wine.

He talks about his latest single, "Hold On We're Going Home." Drake says he worked with Noah "40" Shebib 40 and the two tried to channel Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson. "I know we're not anywhere near that but it's just us doing our thing, humbly attempting," he said.

Drake went on to talk Nothing Was the Same and the inspirations behind the album.

"In approaching this album I was like man, it would be great if we had a record that was played at weddings in 10 years or that people that are away from their families in the army could listen to," Drake said. "Something that just [has] timeless writing, timeless melody… I’ve never really put out a record like this before, so we’ll see how it goes."
