C-Murder had a rare taste of freedom this afternoon. The incarcerated rapper was allowed to leave the Angola State Penitentiary to attend the funeral of a close relative, possibly his grandmother. C-Murder posed for a picture with his nephew Romeo at the funeral, which was then shared on Instagram.

From the picture, it appears that C-Murder is healthy, but it's obvious that he has very little freedom in his current state. He is shown shackled at the waist and clad in an orange prison jumpsuit. Romeo's caption reads:

None

Also present at the funeral was C-Murder's brother (and Romeo's father), Master P. He too appeared in another picture shared by Romeo on Instagram.

C-Murder has been serving a life sentence since being convicted of second degree murder charges in 2009. The Louisiana native allegedly shot and killed a teenage fan at a nightclub at a Harvey, Louisiana nightclub. C-Murder continues to proclaim his innocence in this case.
