Every year, the BET Hip Hop Awards, besides reminding us that the BET Hip Hop Awards still exist, celebrate the best in the genre, as decided by some number of people somewhere in some room, where these things are decided. Being real, what everyone is really looking forward to are the amazing cyphers that they put together every year.

The nominees this time won't surprise you, and they shouldn't. The best acts are often obvious choices for the award because a lot of people like them. One possibility that could excite people (much like the time Tyler, The Creator took home a VMA) is if newcomer Chance The Rapper took home the award for "Best Mixtape." In the humble opinion of this particular author, it's no question. But what do I know? Nothing. I know nothing.

Check out the nominees below and tell me about who should win what in the comments.
