Wait a second, is this really the first original release that Nick Catchdubs has put out? Amazing! In his debut, Catchdubs puts on for the Fool's Gold sound, blending a distinct hip-hop flavor with some obvious electronic elements, creating some robotic turnup that all androids can get down to, perfectly accented by the words of IAMSU! and Jay Ant. The homey Astronomar heats the entire party up, flipping the hook into an infectious call to arms before throwing some thumping house underneath the original's melody. ETC!ETC! goes even deeper with his, kicking the original over, turning it on its ear and bringing everything simmering to the forefront. Solid single, and a great way for Nick Catchdubs to set up his debut album, Smoke Machine, which is said to contain "even more surprise collaborations, unconventional club bangers, and joyously bugged-out vibes."
