The 38-year-old singer will be in Connecticut for the next 90 days.

Given how rarely she releases new music these days, we generally don't hear much about Lauryn Hill. But the former Fugees member has been in the news of late for allegedly failing to pay taxes on roughly $1.8 million in earnings, and today she starts her accompanying three-month prison stint at a correctional facility in Danbury, Connecticut. According to TMZ, it is a "minimum security type facility."

The sentence follows Hill's recent signing with Sony, which was supposed to help ease the 38-year-old singer's financial worries.
