In an interview with MTV, author Bret Easton Ellis talked about working with Kanye West. Ellis and Kanye teamed up for the American Psycho spoof that was used to promote Yeezus

"I just got a text one day... it said, 'It's Kanye, do you have time to rap?'" said Ellis. "And then suddenly my phone rang and someone said, 'Kanye got your number and he wants you to write this promo for Yeezus.'"

The spoof starred Scott Disick, who bears a striking resemblance to the Patrick Bateman character played by Christian Bale in the film adaptation of Ellis' novel American Psycho.

"I had tweeted many times about Scott Disick and 'American Psycho' and we had gone back and forth, and so it all kind of just came together very, very quickly," said Ellis, who claimed the the clip was written and recorded in just a few days.

The author also revealed that he's been meeting with Kanye about writing a script for him. Guess we'll have to wait and find out what the two are cooking up.
