Over the weekend, Nas gave J. Cole his blessings and then some with the incredible remix, "Made Nas Proud." The record unquestionably caught everyone by surprise, except for the Fayetteville rapper, who told 97.9 The Box in Houston that the immortal moment had been planned.

"We've been working on this for the past two weeks," Cole said. "I knew, but it still didn't matter. It was still a major moment."

Speaking to the records significance within his career, he continued, "That’s a moment everyone can look at and be like, ‘Dang,’ because they know my story, they know my journey. Everyone knows what it feels like to look up to Nas and how he deserves to be looked at, and for that to happen is a huge moment."
