DJ Kenn is primarily known, of course, as the producer behind the bulk of Chief Keef's debut mixtape Bang, from 2011. In fact, the producer andsometimevideographer had been recording Keef's verses for five years prior to the rapper's emergence on the national scene.
Kenn been producing for a variety of other Chicago artists for some time, too. His long-awaited mixtape follow-up to 2011's More Than Music is due out this weekend, so the Japanese-born artist hit us off with a preview of what we'll hear on the album. Check out "Squad," which features GBE member Gino Marley, Capo, and Drake/Kevin Durant favorite Lil Herb. Oh yeah: The beat knocks something crazy.
