A few rising rappers out of Washington, D.C. have made noise in recent years; first, Wale became the scene's first success story (his current single, "Bad," is the biggest of his career). Fat Trel made noise the past few years, releasing the acclaimed mixtapes No Secrets and April Foolz. Rising rapper Lightshow looks like he could be one of the new leading lights. Then there's Shy Glizzy, who initially built local buzz off of a Chief Keef diss, but has since gone on to release records that show off a gritty, direct style.

His latest single, "Pilot," features Trinidad James, and is culled from his recent mixtape Fxck Rap.
