There isn't a wide appeal in watching J. Cole talk about adding each and every element of the beat to "Power Trip," but for the few that do want to see it can be an eye-opening experience. After watching the video and seeing each element laid out, it definitely brought a newfound appreciation to the final product.
Afterward (at the 7:00 minute mark) you can hear him play a beat he made for Jay-Z which is quite unlike anything Jay has ever rapped on before (and we've heard him rap on a lot of things). Will Jigga hop on it? We'll see.
Cole's second album Born Sinner is slated to be released June 25th.
