Pardon my astonishment at the fact that the legendary Congo Natty is putting out an album on Big Dada. Congo Natty, aka Rebel MC (and a number of other AKAs during his time as a producer) is one of the few figures keeping the ragga jungle style alive. Many a junglist came up on his tunes, whether they knew it or not, and his deep Rastafarian beliefs always added a new element to his hypnotic riddims.
In any case, on "UK Allstars," Natty brings together Tenor Fly, Top Cat, General Levy, Tippa Irie, Sweetie Irie, and Daddy Freddy on the same track. All of these vocalists have worked with Congo Natty before, but never at the same time on the same track. It's great to hear that he's not lost a step - hell, he's killing it on new levels if you ask us.
