The term "progressive house" seems to inspire a lot of confusion these days. If you're just looking at Beatport charts, you are far more likely to get a different description than if you ask any "true" progressive house fan. Because Beatport and other distributors have yet to add a big room genre (or even "commercial dance" or something along those lines), much of the original progressive house style gets lost in the fold among all the festival-sized anthems. That said, that doesn't mean it's dead. Sounds of the ocean open as Australian multi-genre producer Tom Budin has put his touches on the Zedd and Foxes collaboration "Clarity" to give us some sun-soaked progressive house joy.
