Earlier this week we learned that Snoop Lion is facing some harsh criticism from legendary musician Bunny Wailer of Bob Marley and the Wailers (not to mention the Rastafari Millennium Council) about his recent change of name of lifestyle. Bunny claimed that Snoop’s was a “fraudulent use of Rastafari Community’s personalities and symbolism” and the Council even hit him with a demand letter asking for some allegedly owed money, a name change and a public apology.

Today LargeUp shines a new light on the story with a recent interview with Snoop himself about Bunny Wailer. The reggae legend is set to appear on Snoop’s upcoming Reincarnated album and accompanying documentary. See what Snoop had to say on the subject up above.

UPDATE: Rohan Marley, son of Bob, has now stepped up to defend Snoop in the face of criticism from the Rastafarian community. Marley recently told TMZ:

"Our father’s name should not even be mentioned in this issue because like a true Rasta, he would have embraced Snoop’s reincarnation and welcomed the positivity. Why condemn a man for his love of Rastafari and Bob Marley? We have been cool with Snoop before his transformation and he will continue to have our blessings and support.”
