Frank Ocean's "Channel Orange" Goes Gold

Just in time for the Grammys.

Congrats are in order for Frank Ocean. And no, that's not a reference to the fact that he's performing at the Grammy Awards and up for six statues. The New Orleans native's fantastic debut, last year's Channel Orange, has reached an impressive sales plateau. It's officially certified gold, meaning it's moved at least 500,000 copies.

If Ocean can deliver a solid performance and bag a couple of Grammys, that number will only continue to rise. Last year, Adele's chart-crushing 21 sold more than 700,000 units after bagging six awards.
