If you're looking for a trap banger or a Flo-Rida ruined pop tune, you've taken a wrong turn here, but still check this out.

Although many deep house producers will look to old funk, soul, and jazz records, German producer Claptone has found their muse in the signature sounds of 1990's golden era hip-hop. Claptone opened up 2012 with the release of their Wu-Tang Clan-inspired "Cream" to world success and now they are ready to do it again this year with the release of "Wrong."  The track opens with the instantly recognizable piano riff from Dr. Dre's classic hit "Still D.R.E." before morphing into a one hell of a groovy track.  G-funk elements pervade the entire track and gives this one a certain swag that deep house isn't normally associated with.  Surely Claude Von Stroke and the dirtybird boys have taken from hip-hop influences, too, but Claptone is doing it in a much more direct way.  Deep house and the more minimal side of things might not be your cup of tea, but this is the sort of sexy release that can open you up to a whole new world of quality tunes.

"Wrong," along with B-side "No Eyes," is out today via Exploited Records.
