After making headlines earlier this week for getting into a fight with fellow R&B superstar Frank Ocean at a Los Angeles recording studio, Chris Brown made the decision tonight to step out of the social media limelight and make his Instagram account private. This means his fans will no longer be able to see his photos or comment on them at will.

Brown sent out a final batch of Instagram photos tonight containing text messages to his fans explaining his decision. In them, he says, "Social media takes away the essence of why we are even special or icons. So with that, I'm detaching myself from that world." Guess we're going to have to depend on Rihanna's feed for any upcoming Breezy blunt sessions.

However, you may remember that Chris also deleted his Twitter account back in November after getting into a nasty back-and-forth argument with a female comedian, only to reactivate it days later with his team manning his tweets. Will he do the same with Instagram? We will have to wait and see. For now, it looks like we've been denied further access into the wild life of Chris Brown. Bummer.
