A Country Radio Station Wants Nicki Minaj Off "American Idol"

Seriously?

It's time to add another group of people to the list of Nick Minaj haters: Charleston, S.C. country music station 103.5 WEZL. Yesterday afternoon, they took to Facebook to express their (extremely short-sighted) feelings about the Young Money artist in regards to her role as a judge on American Idol.

It arrived by way of a Photoshopped picture of Nicki, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, and Randy Jackson holding up signs of their accomplishments:

Wow, OK, let's break this one down.

First of all, yes, Nicki does not have a Grammy yet in her short career, which started with her debut album in November 2010. Let's compare that to, say, fellow judge Urban, whose first album was released in 1991. Also, no statue for Nicki just yet, but she was the first female rap artist to perform solo at the award show.

How about that "No #1's"? Well, true, she hasn't topped the Hot 100 yet, but she did hit No. 1 on the Rap and R&B charts. "Moment 4 Life" sat at the top of both while "Your Love" did so on the Rap chart. Oh, and both of her albums reached number one on the Billboard 200 with Pink Friday nearing two million copies sold and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded approaching platinum status.

No talent? Come on.
