Rapper/mogul Young Jeezy is officially taking his CTE World imprint in a new direction. Jeezy has announced that CTE is signing with Atlantic to become CTE World/Atlantic Records. Jeezy, who became Atlantic’s Senior Vice President of A&R this summer, will still take the helm at the new CTE alongside Atlantic chairman Craig Kallman.
Regarding the recent departure of Freddie Gibbs from CTE, Jeezy said, “Freddie is a talented artist and I decided that it’s time to press resent on my career and business ventures. I have no doubt that Freddie will go on to be everything I believe he can be, and I wish him the best in his career.”
