It’s a sad day for diehard fans of Das Racist. According to Pitchfork, Heems performed a solo show last night in Munich and gave a huge announcement about the band's status. He said: "You guys wanna know the secret? Alright, so I'm going to do some Das Racist songs, but Das Racist is breaking up and we're not a band anymore."
Pitchfork then tried to reach out to Das Racist representatives to confirm the break-up. They were declined. However, Kool A.D. must have caught wind of Heems' statement and tweeted to clarify on the matter.
