2 Chainz made an impressive debut with Based on a T.R.U. Story, which topped the Billboard charts at No. 1 by selling 145,000 copies in the first week. Riding on the success of B.O.A.T.S., Chainz revealed during an interview with MTV News that he’s already started on a follow-up LP.
"I'm trying to turn in my album by April of next year," he said. "It won't come out then but I'm at least trying to turn it in and set up for more tours. We enjoy doing live shows, so be looking out for more of that from the crew."
Chainz wouldn’t go into too much detail on his new album, but he revealed that he’s got three songs already in the stash. One of them has a feature that he wants to keep under wraps. He also said that his next video from B.O.A.T.S will be “I’m Diffrent,” which he wrote the treatment for it. Watch the interview above.
