Struggling novelists rejoice! Britney Spears is coming to invade your territory. The X-Factor judge is in talks with HarperCollins imprint It Books to write her first novel.
"To my knowledge there are discussions but nothing confirmed," says her rep.
A source says the novel will potentially be a Roman a` clef, a work of fiction with elements of it culled from Britney's real life.
Recent examples of folks who've penned similar books include Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, who's A Shore Thing was about finding love— where else?— at the Jersey Shore, and The Hills star Lauren Conrad'sL.A. Candy, about a woman who moves to Los Angeles and becomes reality TV star.
Given Spears' decade-long career, she's got plenty of material to pull from. We suggest her book have something to do with marrying a rapping backup dancer and subsequently going crazy.
