As another week comes to a close, we're taking a look back at the finest cuts that have dropped since Monday morning. There have been some high-profile new releases, particularly one that just arrived out of nowhere from a certain Chicago artist you've probably heard of. Other tracks come from everyone's favorite Fayetteville, N.C. spitter and a dude from Washington, D.C. getting back to his roots.

Wale "Freedom of Speech"

As Wale continues to be in 'album mode' he drops his new track "Freedom of Speech." Filled with some nice sample-heavy production and sound clips from President Obama, the cut features Wale delivering rhymes that take listeners back to his pre-MMG days. In the track he also announces his next mixtape, Folarin, which is hopefully filled with more raps like this.

J. Cole "Miss America"

This week marked J. Cole's return as he dropped "Miss America," the first single that will be featured on his upcoming album Born Sinner. This track features a slick  sample and what sounds like a very determined and focused Cole. He doesn't hold anything back and delivers deep and meaningful lyrics.

HAIM "Send Me Down"

The HAIM sisters are back this week, just a month after putting out their Forever EP, with yet another solid single. “Send Me Down” finds the Los Angeles trio maturing a bit, adding something of an electronic feel to their usual Fleetwood Mac vibe. The end result is four minutes of formidable vocals over a barrage of percussion and synth.

Joey Bada$$ f/ Ab-Soul "Enter the Void"

Rihanna f/ Kanye West "Diamonds (Remix)"

Without any warning, Kanye West appeared on Rihanna's new single, "Diamonds," and let the rhymes fly. This official remix finds the Chicago native spitting on a number of topics, from Illuminati allegations to wanting a more private life, with a passionate delivery. Yeezy might have been relatively quiet after dropping Cruel Summer, but he sounds ready to get back out there.
