It's been a good four years since Beck released his previous album, Modern Guilt. It's not like he's been completely off the grid since then, as he is set to release a DIY singer-songwriter book called the Beck Hansen Song Book on December 11. But Consequence of Sound reports that we will indeed be hearing a proper new album from Beck, who doesn't want the songs he began working on in 2008 to become "records from a lost era."
