Funkmaster Flex recently got RZA to sit down for an in-depth, extended conversation between the two hip-hop stars. Today we get part two, in which Flex asks RZA about his filmmaking career and how it felt to work with legends of the medium.

RZA says that Quentin Tarantino took him under his wing and put him through six years of training before he was ready to make his own movie. He also discusses hiring actors who appeared in many of the samurai films that had long inspired and informed him and the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan. Watch that up above and catch RZA’s directorial debut, The Man with the Iron Fists in theaters starting November 2.
