Over the summer, Seattle’s Macklemore and Ryan Lewis made headlines with “Same Love,” a hip-hop track about sexual and marriage equality. Today the duo takes on the issue again with the poignant “Same Love” music video.
Directed by Jon Jon Augustavo and Lewis himself, the seven-minute video combines stories of homosexual love and perseverance with iconic images of civil rights protests. Check out the video above and pick up Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ The Heist, which features “Same Love,” on October 9.
