Capone-N-Noreaga’s Capone was arrested yesterday for allegedly failing to pay child support. The prosecution claims that since 2004, the New York rapper has made only three payments amounting to $144, and has neglected to pay more than $160,000 in that time.
“It is what it is,” said Capone. “I know it looks bad on paper, but I take care of my daughter.” Capone was arrested at home in New Jersey, but was released on a personal-recognizance bond of $10,000. He is now being asked to pay $1,500 per month until his daughter turns 21 in nine years. The court has also restricted Capone from traveling outside of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
