Last week we brought you a taste of hip-hop newcomer D-WHY in the form of “All Good,” his collaboration with Hit-Boy. Now D-WHY gives us the beautiful, hyper-stylized music video for “New York Times.”
Jakob Owens and D-WHY himself direct the clip, which goes from conceptual music video to full-on short film somewhere around the third minute. The film follows some cold-blooded killers around a black-and-white New York City under the rapper's piano-driven, sentimental tale of life in the city.
Check out the “New York Times” music video above and pick up the album, Don’t Flatter Yourself, this Wednesday, August 15.
