Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti will release its sophomore album next month, but it looks like the band might have some trouble holding onto those profits. Former drummer Aaron Sperske is suing the rest of the band for his share of Mature Themes’ earnings.

Sperske claims that he and the rest of the Haunted Graffiti made an oral partnership in 2008 and that he was “squeezed out” of things unlawfully. Sperske is asking for $1 million in punitive damages including his would-be share of earnings from the album and future shows.

Read Sperske’s lawsuit in full over here, thanks to Entertainment Law Digest, and pick up Mature Themes August 21 (a day earlier outside the U.S.) via 4AD.
