Chicago rapper and Def Jam artist Lil Durk, who we included earlier this year in our 10 New Chicago Rappers To Watch Out For feature, was released from prison this morning after serving a three month bid, and gave his first interview to our homies at FakeShoreDrive. In the interview, Durk talks about the motivation he got from fellow inmates who were fans of his, and also from his friend King Louie, how he spoke with Def Jam every day while he was locked up, and why he decided not to release his Til I’m Free mixtape. He also reveals that after coming directly home to see his family today, he hit the studio with Paris Bueller to work on his upcoming mixtape Last Of A Dying Breed with DJ Drama and DJ MoonDawg, which he says will probably drop in late September. Read the entire interview in the link below. Welcome home, Durk.
