If you haven’t already figured it out, there some tension between the Hot 97 crew and Nicki Minaj. Peter Rosenberg, Hot 97’s DJ and radio personality, announced on stage earlier in the day that Minaj's pop single “Starships” wasn’t true hip-hop. That caused Lil Wayne to tweet YMCMB would not be performing as the main event, which set off a series of tweets by the supposed headliner.

Before the remaining acts were about to close out Summer Jam, Funkmaster Flex got on the one’s and two’s to spin a couple hits. During songs like Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake,” he went off on Minaj in proper Flex rant fashion. Check out the shots thrown at the YMCMB first lady. Tune in later today at 7 PM to hear Flex’s follow-up to the whole situation.

“We ain’t fucking with commercial rappers no more.”
“If you lost the fucking streets, its your fault. If you don’t go gold, it’s your fault.”
“I’m dedicated to tearing you down.”
“If you’re not buying no more commercial albums, hit me on Twitter right now!”
