Yonkers-born Eric Newman flipped the script on black rappers naming themselves after white gangsters, taking his moniker from the legendary turn-of-the-(20th)-century black criminal. He scored a minor hit in 2003 with "Roll Wit M.V.P. (We Be Like)," a track that seemed to take its hook from the familiar racial humor theme of "We be like...they be like." In the middle of the decade he toured with Nelly and Snoop and caught some BET Uncut love with the video for "Rock Ya Body", but hasn't been heard from since.
