Against Me! singer Tom Gabel will soon make the transition to living as a female after apparently spending years dealing with gender dysphoria. Following a process of hormones and electrolysis treatments, Gabel's name will be changed to Laura Jane Grace.
She noted that she will remain married to her wife Heather, who has been "super-amazing and understanding" upon hearing the news. Gabel also said that she broke the news to Rolling Stone after speaking with close family and friends because she wants to bring this issue to light.
