Rumors of Outkast rapper Andre 3000 starring in a Jimi Hendrix biopic have been circulating for quite some time now. And although it looked last year as if the Experience Hendrix estate was not going to allow the project to happen, the news broke this weekend that filming will in fact start later this month in Ireland, with 3 Stacks in the starring role and John Ridley (U-Turn, Three Kings) writing/directing. The biopic, titled All Is By My Side, will be set in 1966 and 1967, during the time when Hendrix was discovered in New York and brought to London to record his debut album Are You Experienced.
