Scottish-born producer/singer/songwriter Calvin Harris is best known for his production work on Rihanna's smash single "We Found Love," and now it seems that he has the potential to have a successful solo career singing on records with his own hit "Feel So Close." But in a recent interview with Billboard Magazine, he admits that in 2012, he's not that excited about playing the lead, saying, "It's a shame in a way. Now America seems to like the song, and I'm getting offered things like 'Letterman' or whatever. Two years ago I would've been there in a shot, but now I don't want to do that. I don't want to be the man in the front with a microphone."

Singing or not, Calvin Harris is destined for more success. His next single, "Let's Go," features Ne-Yo, and could be huge, along with the newly announced fifth Rihanna single from Talk That Talk he produced, "Where Have You Been." Comparisons have been made to superstar DJ/producer David Guetta, but with a unique production style and a ridiculous line-up of A-list vocalists scheduled to be featured on Harris' upcoming album, it looks like he will be creating his own lane this year. Catch his set at Coachella this Sunday, 4/15, at 8:25pm, either live or streaming.
