We have some great news for all you jazz and reggae enthusiasts out there looking for something to do on Memorial Day weekend. We're announcing the headliners of this year's JazzReggae Festival at UCLA. On May 26, aka Jam Day, Philadelphia hip-hop crew The Roots and living soul legend Bobby Womack will headline while May 27, aka Reggae Day, festivities will be capped off by hit maestro Shaggy, roots reggae purveyor Don Carlos, and hip-hop-tinged singer Collie Buddz.
In addition to sharing that bit of information, we also have the premiere of some slick footage of Swedish synth-pop outfit Little Dragon performing at last year's JazzReggae Festival. As you'll see in the above video, they transform Machine Dream's "Feather" into a futuristic, pulsating romp.
The festival runs May 27-28 from noon to 7 p.m. at the UCLA IM Field. For more information, head to the event's official website.
